BOHUD RACING TO TAKE ON BRANDT SPEEDWEEK

ACT Sprintcar gasser Michael Stewart and the ultra-slick Bohud Racing Team will be taking on the 2026/2027 Brandt Sprintcar Speedweek.

The team had originally planned to compete on the tour last year but Michael’s unfortunate race accident early in the season saw the team only run on a selected basis with temporary driver replacements naturally whilst Michael recovered from his injuries.

Now, with Stewart back to 100% fit the Illawarra, NSW super team will hit the road and take on the Aussie, US and NZ Speedweek teams across the five-nights-in-seven-days $250,000 plus battle royale.

“We really wanted to come out on the road last season but Michael’s health and his recovery was always our first priority of course,” says Bohud Racing Team Principal Scott Jones, “we knew that when he was back to being fully fit we’d revisit those plans we made last year which definitely included Speedweek.”

Organisers of Sprintcar Speedweek are delighted to have the immaculate #14 car and team on the road.

“Michael Stewart is one of the brightest talents in Australian Sprintcar racing,” says Wade Aunger, “we were excited about the prospect of him racing last season but now we’re thrilled that he’s back to 100% healthy and ready to join us this time around. The Bohud Team is an extremely professional race operation and we can’t wait to have them on the road with us in what may well be our biggest year yet. Having Michael in the field will add another wild card in what will already be a stout field each night.”

The announcement of Stewart and the Scott Jones Bohud Team is a fantastic way to kick off team announcements for what will be a big summer ahead for Speedweek.

“The Bohud boys will come into Speedweek as a real dark horse situation in the Losi Race Inspired / Illawarra Truck Repairs #NS14 Triple X. It’s going to add some real spice to the already simmering spot.”
