For the second year in a row Clint Noakes has claimed victory in the Steve McWhirter Memorial for Production Sedans at the Kellerberrin Speedway Club.

Doubling as Round One of the 2026 Production Sedan Four Crowns Series presented by Oven-U, a classy field of twenty one cars were on hand as the series kicked off for its 21st edition.

Chilly albeit fine conditions greeted competitors with a great crowd and a pit area full of competitors making for a great afternoon at the daytime wheatbelt venue.

Kane McDiarmid and Clint Noakes qualified on the front row for the twenty lap main event after the completion of the nine qualifying heats with Noakes quickly building himself a handy lead over the field.

The interest over the course of the race was the battle for the minor placings with McDiarmid, eleven time series champion Barry Rose and Jacky Moroney enjoying a great battle.

Ryan Mitchell brought about the only stoppage of the event after losing the right rear wheel on his Ford Falcon in the opening half of the race.

Rose would head back to the pit area on lap fourteen after running inside the top five for most of the race in a disappointing end to a productive day.

Clint Noakes would go on to take a commanding victory with Jacky Moroney stealing the runner up position on the final corner from Kane McDiarmid.

Long time Sedan racer Murray Iwanow and Nuno Mendes rounded out the top five with Mendes enduring an eventful afternoon.

The 2026 Production Sedan Four Crowns Series will continue at the Shark Bay Speedway Club on Saturday 11th July in conjunction with the 39th Annual Far Western Championships.
