Following on from the success of this past season, we’ve worked hard to put together another exciting season at Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kingaroy Speedway — and the 2026/27 calendar is locked in.
It all begins with Official Practice on Saturday 12th of September, before we open the season properly on Saturday 24th of October with the Steven Wheeler Memorial. That meeting is always a special one for our club as we race in Steven’s memory, and it will again be a meaningful way to start the year.
Saturday 14th of November – Spring Frenzy sees the return of the 360/LS Sprint Cars after their exciting addition last season, along with the Speedcars in their only Kingaroy appearance before the 82nd Queensland Speedcar Title in March. It also marks the return of the Compact Speedcars Queensland Title to Kingaroy after a successful running last season, backed up by Formula 500 Seniors & Juniors, Modlites and Legend Cars in what shapes as a fast and action-packed night.
Then on Saturday 5th of December, Summer Sizzle brings together Modified Sedans (Prelude to Royal), Production Sedans, Junior Sedan Top Stars/New Stars, AMCA Nationals and Wingless Sprints. With Kings Royal just around the corner after that, it is the perfect lead-in to one of the biggest parts of the season.
On Wednesday 6th of January, we welcome the PWR TFH Sprintcar Power Tour presented by Corbets Group & GK's RV to Kingaroy. That is a huge addition to our calendar and a major event for our club, with some of Australia’s best Sprintcar drivers set to take on Kingaroy, and the potential for international stars to be part of it as well. Modlites and Formula 500 Juniors are already locked in, with more support still to be confirmed.
Then from Saturday 23rd to Monday 25th of January, our biggest weekend of the year returns with the 15th Annual Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kings Royal. Alongside it will be the 9th Annual Queens Royal, the 6th Annual Production Sedan Stampede, Street Stocks, and of course the entertaining Mascot Race. Kings Royal weekend keeps growing and remains one of the true highlights of our season.
From Thursday 25th to Saturday 27th of February, Kingaroy hosts one of the biggest meetings on the entire calendar — the 2027 SSA National Street Stock Title. A national title is a massive event for any club to secure, and to have one coming to Kingaroy is something we are incredibly proud of. Also on that weekend will be the Lightning Sprints Queensland Title on both nights, along with Junior Sedans on the Saturday, making it one of the biggest meetings of the season full stop.
On Saturday 13th of March, March Meltdown brings another title-loaded night with the 82nd Queensland Speedcar Title and the AMCA Queensland Title. The Speedcars will return to Kingaroy to contest one of the great title events in Queensland speedway history, while the AMCA’s add even more weight to the card. Backed up by Super Sedans, Compact Speedcars and F500 Seniors & Juniors, this one has all the ingredients to be one of the standout meetings of the year.
Then on Saturday 10th of April, Autumn Clash rolls around with Late Models, the Wingless Sprints 50 Lap Shane Ryan Memorial, Lightning Sprints, Modlites and 360/LS Sprint Cars. It is a meeting with speed right through it and another one that should have plenty of people excited.
We then close the season on Sunday 2nd of May with Final Showtime, featuring Street Stocks 20/20, Modified Sedans, Production Sedans, Junior Sedans Top Stars/New Stars and F500 Juniors & Seniors. It is a fitting way to round out the year and finish the season off strong.
From memorial races to major events, from state titles to a national title, and from Sprintcars to sedans, juniors and open wheelers, this season really does have something for everyone.
Both the club and Roy can’t wait for next season.
